HUSKER DU, THE PROLETARIAT, SORRY

@ Maverick's (Boston)

It's a shame this was Maverick's first and last all-ages, because it was sure one fun afternoon. Watch Sorry, who ripped through an electrifying, if somewhat short set. John Isley, is a great, convincing vocalist, even when redefining rock and roll boundaries with his own versions of "Beat It" and "Just What I Needed". The Proles were great as usual s they reinforced their position as Boston's thinking men of punk. Can't rave enough about Husker Du who blasted through a great set of their Burma-esque style, which just topped off a really great afternoon.
